About the role
Join Forge's Class 1 trunking operation on a 4 on, 4 off pattern. You'll move tractor units and trailers between customer sites, with no loading, strapping or manual handling.
Pay and employment
£168 per shift on weekdays and weekends, paid monthly through PAYE. Normal SOLO7 work does not include a night-out allowance.
Illustrative annual earnings
Approximately £30,660 basic per year before tax, based on a 365-day year averaging 182.5 paid shifts on the 4-on, 4-off rota (365 ÷ 2 × £168). This includes paid holiday within the normal rota, assuming holiday is paid at the same £168 rate; holiday is not added as extra shifts.
Optional extra-shift illustrations at £168 per shift: 12 extra shifts in a year gives £32,676; 24 gives £34,692. These are examples, not promised annual pay. Actual paid shifts depend on your rota and any extra work allocated.
There may be opportunities for extra holiday-cover and tramping shifts to increase earnings, subject to availability and applicable driving-hours and working-time limits. The role rate and any eligible night-out allowance will be confirmed when work is allocated. A tramping allowance is not part of normal SOLO7 pay.
Working pattern
Work four shifts followed by four consecutive days off, giving you a regular block of time for life outside work. The role is mainly nights, returning home after each shift.
Start times can change from week to week. You can provide a preferred start-time window, which the team will accommodate as closely as operational requirements allow.
