About the role
Join Forge's UK-wide Class 1 tramping operation. You'll work consecutive shifts moving trailers between customer depots, regional distribution centres and yards, with nights away in the cab.
This is drop-and-swap work, with no loading, strapping or manual handling.
Pay and employment
£168 per shift, plus £25 for each qualifying night out. Pay is monthly through PAYE.
Illustrative annual scenario — holiday pay to be confirmed
£49,480 before tax is an illustrative annual scenario, not a guaranteed salary or a statement of historic earnings.
This example assumes 260 paid days: 232 worked shifts at £168 (£38,976), plus 28 paid holiday days also at £168 (£4,704), plus a £25 night-out allowance on every one of the 232 worked shifts (£5,800). No night-out allowance is included for holiday days.
The holiday-pay rate and basis still need confirmation. The £49,480 example assumes holiday at the full £168 shift rate; a different holiday rate changes the total. Actual worked days and allowance eligibility also vary. Ask recruitment to confirm the holiday terms before relying on this illustration.
Working pattern
Five shifts followed by two days off. Start times can vary from week to week, so flexibility is essential. Actual tour and shift lengths vary with the work.
